Children at
+234Art Fair

Children’s artworks are often overlooked in both local and international art spaces. +234Art Fair partners with The Children’s Gallery Lagos to change the narrative about how Children’s art is perceived. We bring you the story of Art Patronage in visual history on the walls of the space, Suleiman’s story – a short video from a young boy whose life was transformed when he was discovered under a bridge on the streets of Lagos, painting. How his paintings have changed his life and those of his family is told in a stirring video clip sponsored by our Children’s Gallery space sponsor.

The Children’s gallery will also feature artworks, tours and workshops for students from a variety of schools across Lagos who will be visiting the fair on official excursion trips.

This year, we have also included a group of underprivileged children from Makoko. Our family friendly fair enables parents to leave their children in an art class or workshop for several hours whilst they enjoy the ambience of the fair.
